Services: 10 a.m., Saturday at the First Baptist Church in San Jon New Mexico. Ira Clinton Williams, 74, died on Saturday at the Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Ira C. Williams was born Dec. 19, 1932 in Jacksboro, Texas. He had been a long time farmer in the San Jon area. He served in the U.S/ Navy during the Korean conflict. He had been a member of the First Baptist Church of San Jon. Surviving Mr. Williams are his son, Larry (Jackie) Williams of Amarillo, seven granddaughters: Brandy (Craig) Jones of Roswell, Misty (Brandon) Aragon, Tracy (Dwain) Virden, Shasta Cordova, Sandy Cordova all of Tucumcari, and Katie and Lori Williams both of Amarillo, and one grandson Wayne (Diana) Cordova of Perryton, Texas. Also surviving are his brother, Olin Williams of Amarillo, and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Jean Williams. Following Mr. Williams' wishes, he has been cremated. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
