Services: At 7 p.m. Tuesday a rosary will be recited at Rix Funeral Chapel in Hereford, Texas. At 2 p.m. Wednesday a funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford. Philip Foster, 39, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, Texas. He was born Aug. 19, 1968 in Tucumcari to Jim Foster and Karen Hendrix Foster. He graduated from Tucumcari High School. He married Joel Esquibel on Aug. 1, 1987 in Tucumcari. They moved to Hereford, Texas in 1989. He was employed at Steven's 5 Star as a mechanic since 1989. He was also co-owner of After Hours Auto Glass. He was a member of the Hereford Elks and served as president on the Kids Inc. Board and coached. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Dean Foster. He is survived by his wife, Joel Foster, one daughter, Jordon Foster, and two sons, Quentin Foster and Brendon Foster, all of Hereford; parents, Jim and Karen Foster of Tucumcari; a brother, Billy Foster of Tucumcari; two sisters, Fonda Ratliff of Conway, Ark., and Wanda Wood of Tucumcari; and parents-in-law, Eloy and Madeline Esquibel of Tucumcari . Memorials may be made to St. Anthony's School Endowment Fund, 114 Sunset Drive Hereford, Texas 79045. John Valdez will be the celebrant at the mass. Burial will be St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rix Funeral Directors of Hereford.
