ENMR-Plateau Education Foundation Scholarship winners were introduced at the Annual Membership Meeting on April 18. Twenty-three graduating high school students earned over $63,000 for their continuing education, according to a press release.
One of two $6,400 Evelyn Patterson Memorial Scholarships were awarded to Megan E. Frost and Courtney Rose Kyle. Frost is the daughter of Russell and Kelly Feerer and Warren and Angie Frost of Logan. She attends Logan High School. The scholarships are named in honor of ENMR·Plateau’s first employee, Evelyn Patterson.
Nineteen $2,000 Banner Scholarships were awarded, including the following students in Quay County:
• Kris E. Foust — House High School
• Lisa Mitchell — San Jon High School
• Tiffany D. Girard — Logan High School
• Tiffany Rachor — Logan High School
Funding for the ENMR-Plateau Education Foundation comes from Cooperative members’ donated and abandoned capital credit payments. The foundation has awarded over $450,000 in scholarships and grants since its beginning in 1993. One of the fFoundation’s goals is to improve educational opportunities for the youth in ENMR·Plateau’s service area, the release said.
