Eastern New Mexico can expect 1 to 3 inches of snow by Monday evening, the National Weather Service is reporting.
A winter weather advisory, in effect from 6 p.m. today until 6 p.m. Monday, has been issued for Curry, De Baca, Quay and Roosevelt counties.
NWS reports snow will begin this afternoon, intensify tonight, then taper off during the day on Monday.
Winds at 10 to 20 mph may lead to reduced visibility because of blowing snow.
