HOBBS — The Portales Lady Rams lost at Hobbs Tuesday night 38-30. Lady Ram junior Tara Johnson led the Portales attack with 12 points. Portales head coach Clay Stout was pleased with his girls’ performance against the perennial Class 5A power. “Both teams played pretty good defense and I think both teams were having a hard time finding shots,” Stout said. The Lady Rams take part in Rio Rancho’s annual girls basketball tournament starting Thursday.
