FLOYD — Senior Taylor Smith led four Logan players in double figures with 13 points Thursday night and the Longhorns outlasted Grady 60-57 in the boys consolation bracket of the EPAC basketball tournament.

The win advances the Longhorns (4-7) into Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. seventh-place game at Eastern New Mexico University’s Greyhound Arena against San Jon (6-8), an 81-51 winner over House on Thursday.

House (6-7) and Grady (5-7) square off in the ninth-place game at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Cimmaron Osborn, Brandon Rafool and Rylan Calbert all scored 11 points for Logan, which outscored Grady 19-16 in the final period. The Bronchos got a game-high 26 points from Dalton Thomas, 12 points from Alex Sotelo and 11 from Joel Sotelo.

San Jon rolled to a 46-17 halftime lead and cruised past House behind 25 points from Shelton Sherwood. Bobby Benally and Michael Booth scored 14 each for the Coyotes, while Justin Pullen added 10.

For House, Bobby Lee finished with 23 points and Jerermy Foust added 11.

Girls — Grady and San Jon advanced to Saturday’s 10:45 a.m. seventh-place game at ENMU with wins on Thursday.

Grady (5-8) got 13 points from Kaitlin Glover and 11 from Mandy Rush and held off Melrose 44-39. The Lady Buffaloes (1-9) were led by 13 points from Cara Barnard and 10 from Jordan Beard.

San Jon (5-9) overwhelmed winless House 28-2 in the first quarter and cruised to a 72-16 victory. Tracy Foote led the Lady Coyotes with 30 points, followed by Morgan Foster with 15 and Brittany Slutz with 12, while Liz Paredez scored 12 for the Cowgirls (0-10).

Melrose and House play for ninth place at 12:30 p.m. today at ENMU.
