Clovis High junior varsity softball team beat the Canyon Randall JV 14-3 Saturday to take the championship of an eight-team invitational tournament at Lady Wildcat Complex.
Andrea Ramos was the winning pitcher for the Lady Wildcats (8-1), while Tammy Gasper went 2-for-4 with triple.
On Friday, the Lady Cats beat the Tucumcari varsity 20-1 and the Roswell Goddard JV 13-3 to advance to the finals.
Kelsi Osborne earned the pitching victory against Tucumcari, and was supported by three hits each from Stevie Cabrera and Desiree Perez. Perez, who went 3-fof-3, had a double.
Against Goddard, Lexi Bruhn earned the pitching cictory. Niki Cordova and Amanda Wagner were both 3-for-3 in the contest, and each hit a triple.
The Clovis “C” team bounced back from an 11-1 first-round loss to the Roswell High JV to claim fifth place, beating Tucumcari 10-0 and the Portales JV 15-5 on Saturday.
