• In an all-capital city semifinal, Santa Fe High erased a 12-point deficit early in the fourth quarter to edge St. Michael’s 47-41 in overtime. The Dons (7-4), who face El Paso Bowie (15-1) in today’s 4:20 p.m. championship game, used a 19-2 run to open a five-point lead before the Horsemen (6-3) scored the final five points in regulation, but Santa Fe High then scored the last seven points in final 1:15 of the overtime.
Kurtis Thomas, a 6-foot-6 senior center, scored 11 points for the Dons while senior forward Isaac Jeantete added 10. St. Mike’s, held to 11 field goals in the contest, got 13 points from sophomore guard Antonio Garcia and 11 from senior guard David Gonzalez.
• Amarillo Tascosa (9-8) three 3-pointers and 22 points from senior guard Toby Dennis, leading five Rebels in double figures in a 95-85 win over Rio Grande in the first consolation semifinal. Senior guard Michael Ortega had 22 points for the Ravens (5-4), who placed four players in double digits.
• The Rebels will face Abilene Cooper in the fifth-place game after the Cougars (8-9) edged Los Lunas 53-52 on junior forward Michael Brady’s rebound basket with two seconds left in overtime. Senior guard Kenneth Lewis had 19 points and Brady 16 for Cooper, while the Tigers (2-8) got 19 points from senior guard Jerrell Warner and 13 from sophomore post Mario Garcia.

• Senior post Deprise Cravin scored 28 points and senior guard Hailey Smith added 20 and Abilene Cooper pulled away with an 18-6 run in the final period to beat Alamogordo 63-48 in a consolation semifinal. The Lady Coogs (9-7) face Portales (5-3), a 50-47 winner over Shiprock on Tuesday, in today’s 10 a.m. fifth-place game.
Alamogordo (4-6) was led by 15 points each from senior guard Shanae Hilliard and sophomore guard Genoveva Rodriguez.
