Coming in: The Rams are coming off a 61-49 win at Ruidoso, their fourth-straight victory. The Wildcats defeated New Mexico Military Institute 56-48 and have won nine of their last 10 games.
Last meeting: Jan. 26, Lovington beat the Rams 44-33 at PHS.
Gallegos says: “The big thing with us is we’ve got nothing to lose. Lovington’s got a two-game lead on the district. We’re going to try to get a win and maybe some help next week from Ruidoso. We’ve won there the last three years, and we’ve put a little run together.”
Looking back: Gallegos didn’t want to take anything away from Lovington, but said the Rams made “uncharacteristic mistakes” in their earlier meeting.
