Difference: The Bobcats scored three touchdowns in the final period to erase an 18-17 deficit.
Difference-makers: Bovina, Desmond Fox rushed for 51 yards and Alexis Martinez added 49 for the Mustangs. Each scored a touchdown. Dimmitt, Johnny Dones picked up 77 yards on nine carries and scored twice, including a 24-yard run for the go-ahead score with 5:40 left in the game.

Difference: The Tigers outscored Vaughn 20-0 in the third quarter after the Eagles closed to 20-18 late in the half.
Difference-makers: Magin Montoya threw for three touchdowns and 232 yards and took his only run 30 yards for the game’s opening touchdown. Kevin Mitchell caught four passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns, and iced the game with a 79-yard interception return in the third stanza.
By the numbers: The Tigers rolled up 373 yards and did not turn the ball over.

San Jon 53, Dora 41
Records: Dora 1-3, San Jon 3-1.
Difference: In a battle of “Coyotes,” San Jon held Dora scoreless in the final quarter, coming back from a 41-26 deficit in a seesaw game. San Jon led 14-0 early before Dora moved in front 28-26 at the half, then tacked on two more scores when play resumed.
Difference-makers: Dora got three touchdown runs and two touchdown passes from senior QB Michael Puebla. Peubla’s scoring tosses went.
