LITTLEFIELD — The Portales Lady Rams slipped past by Friona 27-13 at the Wildcat Classic on Wednesday.

Portales held Friona to five points in the second half.

Macy Mitchell (6-4) scored seven of her 14 points in the fourth quarter as Portales stretched its five-point lead.

The Lady Rams forced 15 turnovers in the second half to keep Friona (8-8) at bay.

The Lady Rams play Springlake-Earth at 8 p.m. MST in the semifinals game.
