Draper had 10 points for the Lady Buffaloes (17-10), who have dropped three of four to the Vixens this season.

District 8-1A tournament
Championship
Tatum 45, Dora 40, OT
Recap:
Kylie Wheeler scored 15 points and Amber Olivas added 11 as top-ranked Tatum fought off Dora in a battle of “Lady Coyotes.”

Senior post Kelli Merrick had 22 points for Dora (16-11), which had four 3-pointers and went 10-for-11 from the free throw line.

"We had our chances to win the game,” Dora coach Caleb King said. “They just played a little better in the end.”

Tatum (25-1) should get a No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the tournament on Sunday, considering its only loss was to Fort Sumner. Dora, ranked eighth, is also hopeful of getting a first-round home game.
