Clinton J. Cox Clinton J. Cox, 18, died Wednesday afternoon, July 9, 2003, near Tucumcari in a motor vehicle accident. Born Feb. 8, 1985, in Tucumcari, he had been a lifetime resident of the Logan and Tucumcari communities. He attended the Logan school system and would have begun his senior year this fall. He loved working on motor vehicles. He is survived by his parents, Randy and Rhonda Cox, Tucumcari; a sister: LaDonna Cox, Albuquerque; his fiancee, Ashley Cooper, Tucumcari; paternal grandparents Jim and Wanda Cox, Logan; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Dolores Bell, Tucumcari; a maternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Bell, Tucumcari. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Larry Bell and an aunt, Cindy Cox. Funeral services were Friday afternoon in the First Baptist Church in Tucumcari with the Rev. Gay Wellborn officiating. Burial followed in the family plot of the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kirk Burns, Jerod Bell, Kolby Mackey, Jorden Bell, Christ Horlacker, Brandon Aragon, William Bell and Jessie Bell.
