Charles Haldane Charles Haldane died Aug. 23, 2003, at his home in San Jon. He was born April 2, 1936 in Franklin County, Indiana. Mr. Haldane joined the Air Force at the age of 18 and proudly served his country for 22 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He then went to work for Lockheed Martin, retiring after 10 years. Mr. Haldane enjoyed many achievements in his professional career. In his personal life, he was a very generous man an immensely enjoyed spoiling his wife and grandchildren with many gifts. He is survived by his wife Linda Haldane of San Jon; children, Johnnie Cain and wife Patty of Santa Rosa, LeeAnn Haldane of “Wichita Falls, Texas, Caroline Haldane of Tucumcari, Sharon Haldane of Omaha, Nebraska; brothers Bill Scletchweg and wife Margaret of Heber Springs, Ark and John Schletchweg and wife Mary of Rushville, Indiana; mother-in-law Madeline May of Bard, brother-in-law Bill Cain and wife Peggy of Bard; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and seven nieces and nephews. A memorial service was Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in San Jon. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services of Albuquerque.
