The following are samples of calls received by Tucumcari police within the last week. According to the reports: Dec. 29 • About 9 a.m. a male reported a burglary of an automobile and officers advised that a CD player was stolen out a Cadillac Deville at a business on the 1100 block of West Tucumcari Blvd. Dec. 28 • About 5 p.m. a female reported that someone had taken the flowers from a permanent vase on her fathers grave. She advised that this has happened in the past. • About noon, a female reported a hit and run at a local church. She said there was damage to the right side of the vehicle. • About 12:15 a.m. a 33-year-old male was arrested for embezzlement, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia at a convenience store on Mountain Road. Dec. 27 • About 9 p.m. a female reported damage to a vehicle at the 600 block of East Hines. The back window of a 1999 Ford Expedition was shattered, possibly with a bat. • About 4:30 p.m. an 18-year-old male was arrested at a store on West Tucumcari Blvd. on counts of abuse of a child, contributing, shoplifting, tampering with evidence and criminal damage less than $1,000. • About 4 a.m. a man called and said a vehicle had hit a mail box. A 21-year-old male was arrested for aggravated DWI, leaving the scene and careless driving at the 1400 block of Rock Island. Dec. 25 • A 44-year-old male was arrested in the 900 block of East Main for possession of marijuana and bringing contraband into a jail. Dec. 24 • About 3 p.m. a female reported that a pit bull appeared to be attacking children in the area of Rock Island and McGee. Officers advised that the dog was playing with the children.
