Calvin Litchfield, 60 died in Tucumcari on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004 unexpectedly. Calvin Litchfield was born March 23, 1943 in Clovis. He attended and graduated from the Clovis School System in 1961. He attend and graduated from McMurry University in 1965. He was a Certified Public accountant who owned and operated the Litchfield Accounting Office in Tucumcari. He had coached Little League Baseball, had been a member of the Lions Club, had been a Tucumcari City Commissioner since 1998 and at the time of his death, he was serving as Mayor of Tucumcari. He was on the board of advisors for the Tucumcari Federal Savings and Loan Association and was active in the Center Street United Methodist Church and had served as treasurer for the church. He was also a member of Elks Lodge 1172. He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann Litchfield of Tucumcari and by his daughter Leslie Brusa (Brian), his daughter-in-law Kim Boyd, and a brother Don Litchfield. He is also survived by two grandaughters. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph Bryan Litchfield in 1999, by his parents Homer and Vera Litchfield, a brother Stanley Litchfield and a sister Fanchion. Services will be Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the Tucumcari Convention Center with Rev. Scott Seymour of the Center Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Peaceful Garden of Memorial Park in Lubbock at 3 p.m. Donations may be made to the Lexxy and Shelly Litchfield Scholarship fund at Citizens Bank.
