Andrea Hodge, a teacher at Tucumcari Elementary School, has been chosen as one of twenty people who will attend the 2004 Institute of the High Plains Writing Project. Hodge will participate in a two-week intensive study of writing at ENMU-Portales, June 8 through July 2.
The High Plains Writing Project, founded in 1992, is a site of the National Writing Project, which aims to improve student writing by focusing on the teachers themselves as writers.
