The Tucumcari High School football team will take a long road trip Friday when they take on Crownpoint High School at 7 p.m. Friday night. Crownpoint High School is located 25 miles north of the Thoreau exit off I-40. The Thoreau exit is 30 miles west of Grants. Crownpoint is 0-1 this season, with a 26-14 loss to Laguna. Last year, however, Crownpoint was 8-2. All their wins were by 35 points or more last year going into the playoffs where they lost to Lordsburg.
