RVers give to state cops
Published: Thursday, September 16th, 2004
TucumSams, a local group of recreational vehicle enthusiasts, recently donated a large number of blankets to the New Mexico State Police and state police. Lt. Nathan Wallace of the said the blankets will come in handy and put to good use.
“Our officers will keep the blankets in their trunks and if we have a child or an adult at an accident site, we can help them keep warm,” he said. “The blankets can also be used by children or adults in incidents like domestic violence situations. We are really grateful to GoodSams for doing this for us.”
TucumSams is the local chapter of an international RV group which calls itself GoodSams which is short for Good Samaritans.
