Bill Parish Bill “Billy Joe” Parish, 71, died at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Amarillo Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004 following an extended illness. Billy Joe Parish was born Feb. 14, 1933 in Santa Anna, Texas. He had been a resident of Tucumcari for the past 42 years. He had been in retail sales for many years and was active in ranching in the Tucumcari area prior to his illness. He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Tucumcari Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife Johnnie Parish of Tucumcari, his mother, Bessie Parish of Bangs, Texas; his daughters Joyce Arlene Garrett of Raton and Lissa Jo Sharp (Kelvin) of Levelland, Texas. He is also survived by two sisters; Bobbie Howard (Tom) of Zepher, Texas and Patsy Bible of Houston. In addition he is survived by two grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Services were Tuesday morning at the Dunn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Broom of the Center Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial followed at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Raymond Andrada Raymond Andrada, 52, of Amarillo died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004 from complications involving cancer. Raymond Andrada was born in Pastura Jan. 15, 1952. He lived in Amarillo for over 20 years. He married Peggy Beck in 2000 in Amarillo. He worked as a cook for the Amarillo Senior Citizens Center for over five years. He also worked for Abuellos. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucio Andrada and Margarita Sanchez Andrada, his brother Eddie Andrada. He is survived by his wife Peggy of Amarillo, six brothers: Johnny Andrada and Paul Andrada, both of Amarillo, Steven Andrada and Casey Andrada both of Tucumcari, Tony Andrada of Richland Center, Wisconsin, Lucio Andrada Jr. of Lake Havasu, Ariz; five sisters, Alice Sierra of Vallejo, Calif, Francis Montano of Tucumcari, John Padilla of Pueblo, Colo, Betty Jean Wyatt of Roswell and Becky Ely of El Paso. A Rosary was said Tuesday evening and a funeral mass was this morning (Wednesday) at our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was cremated.
