Johnny S. Marinez Johnny S. “Jonne” Martinez, 63, died in Amarillo Friday, Oct. 22 following a brief illness. Jonne Martinez was born March 8, 1941 in Las Vegas, New Mexico. He was a body man at Southwest Motors in Tucumcari for Many years. He was also a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Senon and Delfinia Martinez and a brother James “Libro” Martinez. He is survived by three daughters, Juanita Lawrence (Neal), Patricia Martinez (Celso) and Theresa Cassidy all of Tucumcari; two brothers, Jerry Martinez (Joann) and Lawrence Martinez; two sisters; Corine Andrada (Steve), Rose Calbert (John Joe) all of Tucumcari; and sister-in-law Rufina Martinez. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Isidoro SanRoman Isidoro “Porky” SanRoman, 82, died on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004 in Raton. Porky San Roman was born on July 3, 1922 in Swastika, to Dario and Julia Leija San Roman. He was a member of St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was also a World War II veteran. He was a resident of Tucumcari and Raton. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister Amelia SanRoman and a brother Arthur Lopez. He is survived by his wife Betty Jean SanRoman of Tucumcari; one daughter Cynthia Acker (Richard) of Tucumcari; sisters Gloria SanRoman of Raton, Nellie Avila (Bernard) of North Hollywood, Calif.; Brothers David SanRoman (Concha) of Raton, Pete SanRoman (Laura) of Chino HIlls, Calif., Gilbert SanRoman (Betty) of Raton, Richard SanRoman (Berniece) of Whittier, Calif., Joe SanRoman (Anna) of Torrence, Calif. He is also survived by two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct. 28 at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s. Burial will be at Fairmont Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in Tucumcari at a later date.
