1/19 Police blotter

The following is a sampling of calls received by Tucumcari Police during the past several days. According to the reports: Jan. 18 • Around 12:30 a.m. a Tucumcari Police Officer found graffiti on the west side of Rhodes Field House, Tucumcari High School’s auxiliary gymnasium. The officer stated the graffiti said “West Side Crips.” The officer also said all the trash cans in the parking lot were dumped. Jan. 17 • Shortly after midnight Tucumcari Police received a 911 call from a woman in the 1300 block of S. Seventh Street. The woman claimed she could hear her neighbor making threats to harm her. Jan. 16 • Around 7 p.m. an employee of Love’s travel stop called and requested officers in reference to several panhandlers in a bus. The employee said a female panhandler allegedly hurt a dog. Jan. 15 • Around 2:30 a.m. a Tucumcari Police Officer found 22 unlocked vehicles on the Mills-Strebeck Autoplex lot during a routine walk-through. A sales manager later said that it was simply a matter of an employee who forgot to lock the vehicles. Jan. 14 • Around 8:30 p.m. a woman in the 600 block of S. Hines reported a suspicious subject knocked on her door. Officers advised it was two females who wanted to borrow a potato.
