Don Kresge
Don Kresge, 80 of Logan, died on Feb. 9, 2005.
Kresge was born Sept. 17, 1924 in Wilkes-Barre, Penn. He had been a resident of Melrose for 35 years before he and his wife, LaNelda, moved to the Logan community 14 years ago. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Logan Church of Christ. He was a member of the American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans. He farmed and ranched in the Melrose area for 35 years and also worked at the Melrose Grain and Elevator for 23 years.
Survivors include his wife, LaNelda of Logan; three children, Joani Scheuermann (and husband Jeff), and LaEllyn Johansen (Ken) all of Durango, Colo., and Clayton Kresge of Slidell, La.; three grandsons; a sister, Lucille K. Sinibaldi of State College, Pa.; and other relatives.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at the Melrose Church of Christ, time and date to be announced by Dunn Funeral Home in Tucumcari.
