David R. Fister David R. Fister, 70, passed away in the Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque on Feb. 17, 2005. Fister was born Dec. 11, 1934 in Brush, Colo. to Floyd and Lois Fister. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and taught diesel technology at Casper Communiy College in Casper, Wy, Laramie Wy. and at Pueblo Community College in Pueble, Colo. His last teaching position was in Mesalands Community College in Tucumcari. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Fister of Tucumcari; daughter, Loreli Fister (and husband Ted Lapage) of Corvallis, Ore.; sons Michael Fister (Susan) of Ft. Collins, Colo. and Steven Fister (Tammy) of Newnan, Ga.; brother, John Fister of Cotopaxi, Colo.; sister Jaqueline Rich of Tucumcari; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday at Dunn Memorial Chappel with Rev. Bob Civil officiating. There will be a viewing from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at today the Methodist church in Westcliffe, Colo, followed by burial in Ula Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the hospital auxiliary of Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari.
