Special events for Easter

The following area churches will be offering special events to celebrate Easter:
• Caprock Creek in San Jon will be showing a play telling the story of Jesus’s life on today and Sunday. Tonight, dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the play will begin at 7 p.m. On Sunday, the play is a sunrise play. Arrival will be at 4:30 a.m., the play will begin at 4:45 a.m. and breakfast will follow. There is no charge for the event, but donations will be accepted. Those who would like to attend can RSVP to 1-888-GIDDY UP.
• St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 306 W. High St., will be offering services in cities throughout the county. Today the church will hold Easter Vigil Mass at 8 p.m. at the church in Tucumcari. There will be Easter Mass at 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sunday in Tucumcari, 12:30 p.m. at San Antonio Church in Logan, 4 p.m. at Sacred Heart church in Nara Visa, and 5 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe in San Jon.
• First Christian Church, 1701 S. Fourth St, in Tucumcari will have Easter Services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
• First Baptist Church, 601 Armijo St., in Logan will present and Easter musical called “Eyes of Faith” today at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
• Center Street United Methodist Church, 406 E. Center St., will have special music at their service at 10:30 a.m.
• The First Assembly Church of God, 524 S. Monroe, will present an illustrated sermon titled “His Finest Hour” Sunday at 6:00 p.m., and Monday at 7:00 p.m.
• Trinity Baptist Church, 823 S. 1st St., will present “Behold the Lamb,” an Easter musical presented by the choir, Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
• First Baptist Church, Adams and Center, will present “Above All Kings,” an Easter musical on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
Other churches were not reached by press time or will be holding services at the regular time.
