Police blotter The following is a sampling of calls received by Tucumcari Police during the past several days. According to the reports: April 4 € About noon a man in the 500 block of South College Street called in reference to vandalism done to his vehicle and apartment. An officer advised that the front windshield of the man¹s vehicle and a window on the man¹s residence had been chipped, possibly by a BB gun. € About 9 a.m. a man in the 1300 block of East Whitmore called in reference to a possible overdose. A man was subsequently charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. € About 9 a.m. a man came into the police station and reported that locks had been cut on the horse stall gates at the Mesalands Community College Farrier Science facility. The man requested a special watch. € About 9 a.m. a man called from Tepee Curios in reference to vandalism done to a store sign. An officer advised that the neon tubing on the east side of the sign had been broken, apparently by rocks being thrown at the sign. April 3 € About 7 p.m. a woman in the vicinity of South Fifth Street and West Route 66 Boulevard reported a man down. An officer advised that the man was sleeping and then asked the man to move on. April 1 € About 5 p.m. a man in the 100 block of South Jackson Street called in reference to a breaking and entering of his vehicle while he was at work. An officer advised that a car stereo and a compact disc case with 50 to 60 compact discs in it were taken. The estimated value of the stolen items was $256. € About 10 a.m. a man in the 1400 block of South Jackson Street called in reference to vandalism done to his vehicle. An officer advised that the driver¹s back side window was broken.
