Willie Clinton Ennis, 77, of Norman, Okla., formerly of Tucumcari, died Saturday, April 23, 2005, in Cheyenne, Wyo. He was born on Jan. 17, 1928, in Coalgate, Okla., to Arson and Evelyn Ennis. He married Roxie Williams Townsend on Jan. 24, 1945, in Ada, Okla. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and his wife. Survivors include two daughters, Mearl Thomas (and husband, Joe) of Clovis and Doris Lawrence (Gary) of Aztec; four sons, Johnny Ennis of Tucumcari, Cloyed Ennis (Wynoka) of Cheyenne, Wyo., A.W. Ennis(Sherry) of Harjoe, Okla., and Lemond Ennis of Amarillo; two brothers, Billy Joe Ennis of Hilton, N.Y., and Jerry Ennis of Mustang, Okla.; a sister, Doris Roberts of Decatur, Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. Services will be10 a.m. (CDT) Saturday at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Newalla, Okla. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Newalla, Okla. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
