June 18 Fishing Report

New Mexico Fish and Game Department’s Fishing Report Conchas Lake Fishing was rated as slow to fair for most species this past week. A few walleye and white bass were taken by anglers trolling crank baits. A few smallmouth bass were caught on jerk baits, plastics and crank abits. Fishing for catfish was fair for anglers using shrimp and liver. Ute Lake The Ute Lake marina has closed temporarily but the boat ramps are open and in good condition. Fishing was fair this past week for anglers trolling crank baits for white bass. Fishing was fair using jerk baits and assorted plastics for black bass. Fishing was fair using bottom bouncer/crawler rigs, sassy shad and crank baits for walleye. Fishing was good using liver and shrimp for catfish.
