Police Blotter

The following is a sampling of calls received recently by the Tucumcari police.
According to reports:
Monday
l At 9:24 a.m., a male reported a missing wallet at a local store. He said he put his wallet in a basket and somebody took it. He reported his wallet contained his identification, credit and bank cards and $500.
l At 1:19 p.m., a male called in an attempted breaking and entering when he found the front windshield of his vehicle kicked in on East Main.
l At 1:41 p.m., a forgery was reported at a local store. The officer was told a customer paid with a forged check.
l At 3:08 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was reported at a truck wash. Officers were told the owners’ vehicle had broken down.
l At 3:26 p.m., a female came to the station to report a stolen vehicle. She told officers the vehicle was taken from a repair shop in Tucumcari.
l At 7:58 p.m., a female informed officers of a destruction of property on South Monroe. Officers talked to the children involved.
l At 9:59 p.m., a woman called reporting a subject on a roof in Laurel Hills. She called again a short time later reporting noises in the alley. Officers arrived and asked the subject not to return.
l At 10:08 p.m., a female called in complaints of fireworks in the East Center area. Officers were told subjects were done lighting the fireworks prior to their arrival.
l At 11:02 p.m., a loud semi was reported, disturbing guests in a local motel.
l At 11:11 p.m., a female was arrested for DWI. She was taken to the detention center.
Tuesday
l At 12:28 a.m., a female came to the police station to report stolen checks. The officer took her statement and told her to follow up with her bank to report the checks missing.
