10/15 Police blotter

The following is a sampling of calls received by the Tucumcari police during the past several days.
According to the reports:
Tuesday
At 12 a.m., a car stopped at a local motel resulted in the arrest of one male for DWI, speeding and driving on a divided highway.
At 12:05 a.m., a broken window was reported on Sixth and Evans. Police arrived to find the window of a vehicle shot out with a BB gun.
At 4:42 a.m., an unwanted subject was reported at an apartment complex. Police on the scene found the subject had left prior to their arrival.
At 6:27 a.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at large. Said female asked police to visit her daughter’s boyfriend’s house and tell him not to come by between the hours of midnight and 9 a.m. Police complied.
At 11:26 a.m., a male called to report a worthless check being passed at a retail store. Police arrived to arrest a couple who had magistrate warrants out for them for forgery and fraud.
At 1:09 p.m., an unknown male reported a breaking and entering of a vehicle on South Sixth. Police on the scene found the stereo had been taken.
At 5:21 p.m., a female from the emergency room called to report a dog bite. Police arrived to find a child had been playing with a neighbor’s puppy and determined the bite was “not bad.” The puppy was quarantined at its home.
Wednesday
At 5:49 a.m., a female called to report an unwanted subject at a local motel. Police on the scene told the subject to move on.
At 10:26 a.m., a possible structure fire was reported on South Rock Island. Police arrived to find dust in the building had set off the alarm.
At 11:42 a.m., a female reported a juvenile walking away from school. Police tracked down the youth and returned subject to the classroom.
At 3:56 p.m., a vehicle stopped by police at High and College led to the arrest of one male. He was on a motorcycle and apprehended for DWI and having a revoked license.
At 4:06 p.m., a fire alarm went off at an elementary school. Police arrived to find a first grader had pulled the alarm and school officials said they would deal with the matter the following morning.
At 5:39 p.m., an unknown female reported a fight on McGee. Police on the scene found a woman yelling at some kids to keep it down; there was no fight.
At 6:52 p.m., a female called to report harassment at an apartment complex. Police arrived to find a grandmother arguing with her granddaughter and said all was OK.
At 9:52 p.m., a security company alerted police of an alarm going off at a school. Police on the scene found an employee had tripped the system.
At 10:44 p.m., a man who seemed confused and was possibly drunk was reported at a truck stop. Police arrived to question the male; all was OK.
Thursday
At 1:12 a.m., a male reported suspicious noises on South First Street, saying a possible subject had entered the house. Police on the scene found a cat in the basement. A cat trap was set to be set.
At 8:20 a.m., an unknown male called to report a vehicle stopped in the roadway in front of a restaurant. Police arrived to issue a citation to the driver for being stopped in the roadway.
