Saturday — Logan United Methodist Women are holding their annual holiday bazaar from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the fellowship hall of the church at the corner of Second and Armijo streets in Logan. There will be breakfast burritos, baked goods, crafts and lots of holiday items. Proceeds go to local and international missions, church and community needs. Saturday — The Girl Scouts ask for old newspapers that are not sun bleached or have not been wet to be donated to their paper drive at Mesalands Community College Building C on 11th Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday — Christmas Crafters, Rock hounds, Artists Fair in Tucumcari (C.R.A.F.T.) is an all-day event each day at the Quay County Exhibit Hall at 1000 Camino del Coronado. Adams St., at 3 p.m. Monday — Rural Area Development (R.A.D.) Water Users Coop will meet at the Norton Fire Station one mile south on Norton Road at 5:30 p.m. Monday — Urban Ballet Company performs La Llorona and an excerpt from Billy the Kid at the Tucumcari High School Auditorium, 1100 S. Seventh St., beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Quay Council for Arts and Humanities season passes are good for this performance. Tuesday — The Quay County Republican Party will meet at Dean’s Restaurant at 6 p.m.; Dutch treat dinner starts at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday — Two sessions of On the Road to Living Well with Diabetes Workshop explains five important tests and how to prevent complications from diabetes. Participants will receive results of four tests. Only persons with diabetes may attend and preregistration is required. Tuesday — Holiday Surprises Cooking Workshop explores new dishes and modifies traditional favorites to help those with diabetes have a healthy holiday season. The workshop is free and open to anyone interested. Wednesday — Altrusa will hold a board meeting at Bambinos Restaurant at noon. She as its County Clerk for 14 years and for the last two years as Deputy Clerk and Chief Deputy Clerk. She has accepted the position of City Clerk/Assistant Finance Director with the City of Tucumcari. The reception will take place in the Commissioners’ Room of the courthouse from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday — City Commission meets at City Hall, 215 E. Center Street, at 6 p.m. Friday — Quay County offices will be closed Nov. 11, 2005, in observance of Veterans Day. Friday — Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) will meet at Veterans’ Park at 11 a.m. with a luncheon meeting to be resumed at Bambinos Restaurant at approximately 11:30 a.m. Friday — Tucumcari Middle School band and Tucumcari High School band and choirs will perform the annual Veterans’ Day program at the high school auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. For more information, contact Harold Sloan, music director. Fridays ongoing — Thank God It’s Friday (TGIF) is provided for students K-fifth grade on Fridays when there is no school in Tucumcari or no scheduled holiday.
