Jack Johnson
Services: Have been held.
Jack Johnson, 82, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at his home in Bard.
He was born April 7, 1923, near Clayton in Thomas.
The longtime Bard resident was a rancher and farmer who served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mary Lee Johnson, and his daughter Naomi Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine Johnson of Bard; one son, Jimmy Johnson (and wife, Melissa) of Bard; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Carl Johnson of Roswell, Daryl Johnson of Oregon and David Paris of Midland, Texas, and one sister, Anna Harris of Hobbs.
Services were held in the San Jon Cemetery with the Rev. George Irving officiating. Burial followed in the San Jon Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
