Absentee voting by mail is now being accepted for Tucumcari’s March 7 municipal election, according to a release from the city clerk’s office.
The release said absentee ballot applications may be picked up at City Hall or mailed by calling 461-3451. No reason has to be given to vote absentee.
Votes can also be made in person at the city clerk’s office at 215 E. Center, the release said. Paper ballots may be submitted now through March 3 and a voting machine will be available Wednesday through March 3.
Voting on the March 7 election day is another option, with city district polling places open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the release said, at the following polling places:
District one — Del Norte Center
District two — Tucumcari Recreation Center
District three — Tucumcari High School auditorium
District four — Immanuel Baptist Church
District five — Tucumcari High School auditorium
