The following is a sample of calls received by Tucumcari police during the last few days. According to the reports: Saturday • At 12:05 a.m., a male reported a semi stuck on Tucumcari Boulevard. The truck was stuck between businesses and not blocking traffic. The driver said he would stay the night and call a towing company in the morning. • At 12:26 p.m., a male reported loud music on Aber. An officer arrived and the person in question said he’d turn the music down. • At 1:42 p.m., a 911 call was terminated on First Street. The caller said the phone was giving them problems. • At 11:20 p.m., a male reported an unpaid room at a hotel. The caller said the guests paid for two rooms, but there were three people in the car. The people told the officer one of the people was just a visitor and was not staying in the room. Sunday • At 12:54 a.m., a female reported a possible DWI on I-40. Nothing was found. • At 1:52 a.m., an officer reported an open door at a city building. The building was secured by the officer. • At 2:40 p.m., a male reported trespassing at Whitmore. A subject had put rocks on the railroad track in the shape of an elephant. The rocks were returned to their original places. • At 5:22 p.m., a female reported a truck running at Jackson. The driver said the refrigeration unit was running and that he’d be leaving within the hour. • At 5:22 p.m., an officer reported erratic driving on U.S. 54. Citations were issued for a driver's license restriction and for allowing a minor to drive. • At 9:26 p.m., a female requested a welfare check at a hotel. She said her aunt had been threatened. Officers found the woman, reported she was OK and escorted her home. • At 10:17 p.m., a male reported a possible gas leak at Park. He said he smelled gasoline. He called back later and canceled the call, saying his neighbor was cleaning his hands with gasoline. • At 10:26 p.m., a male reported engines running at a restaurant. The drivers agreed to shut their engines off. Monday • At 10:21 a.m., a male reported a larceny at a school. An administrator at the school said a cell phone was stolen from a student. It was returned 45 minutes later. • At 3:27 p.m., a female reported an accident without injuires at a gas station. The accident happened on private property and the drivers exchanged information cards. • At 4:22 p.m., a male reported a hit and run at Highlands. A gold car reportedly was involved in an accident with another vehicle. • At 4:49 p.m., a female reported an accident without injuries at Center. A citation was issue for careless driving. • At 5:24 p.m., a female reported a dispute at Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer said the matter was a dispute over rental property, and advised the parties it was a civil matter. • At 11:45 p.m., a female reported livestock in the roadway. The caller said three deer were at the Elks Club. Officers said the deer left before they arrived.
