Genevieve Calbert Services: 10 a.m. today at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari. Genevieve Calbert, 88, died Friday, May 26, 2006, at her home in Tucumcari. Mrs. Calbert was born Feb. 16, 1918, in Tucumcari. She had been a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari and was active in the Sacred Heart Society. Mrs. Calbert was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Juan Calbert, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by six sons, Johnny (wife Rose) Calbert of Tucumcari, Mel (Judy) Calbert of Tucumcari, Louis (Virginia) Calbert of Tucumcari, Jimmy (Loretta) Calbert of Albuquerque, Pat (Jane) Calbert of Albuquerque and Gene Calbert of Albuquerque; five daughters, Mary Lou (Jose) Vasquez of Tucumcari, Delvinia Calbert of Tucumcari, Virginia Calbert of Tucumcari, Linda (Jimmy) Dimas of Clovis and Dolores (Chris) Pacheco of Las Cruces; a brother, Moises Romero of Tucumcari; five sisters, Mary Calbert of Tucumcari, Delfina Cordova of Tucumcari, Becky Martinez of Tucumcari, Virginia Ortiz of Tucumcari and Rosie Montano of Albuquerque; 34 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Leo Padget will officiate services. Burial will follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Louisa Lucero Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Louisa (Louise) Maria Lucero, 89, died Sunday May 28, 2006, in Clovis. Mrs. Lucero was born Oct. 1, 1916, in Dahlia to Pedro and Dulcinea Sandoval. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari. Mrs. Lucero was preceded in death by her parents; a husband, Domingo Segura, in 1981; a son-in-law, Alfonso Segura, in 1981; four brothers, Jose, Christian, Pedro and Florencio and two sisters, Adela Duran and Ursula Montoya. Mrs. Lucero is survived by a daughter, Irene Segura of Tucumcari; two grandsons, Jess (wife Kathy) Segura of Milagro and Donny (Robeta) Segura of Tucumcari; a granddaughter, Mary Guillen of Albuquerque; five great-grandchildren: Paula (Greg) Marez, Melissa (Charlie) Widner, Venissa (Greg) Fletcher, Kyle (Leona) Segura and Leona (Matthew) Guillen; six great-great-grandchildren, Gregory Fletcher, Gabby Fletcher, Katelyn Ruebush, Cody Widner, Evan Segura, and Sophia Louise Marez and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. today at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Leo Padget will officiate services. Burial will follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Greg Marez, Charlie Widner, Greg Fletcher, Lyle Segura and Matthew Guillen will serve as pallbeareres. Mrs. Lucero’s great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari. Joe Martinez Services: Will not be held. Joe Ralph Martinez, 56, died Monday, May 8, 2006, at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque. Mr. Martinez was born in Tucumcari and lived much of his life in California before settling in Albuquerque. Family members said he served honorably in the military and his life's passion was restoring vehicles for show. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Martha Meir, Mary Ann and Ruby Martinez and a brother, George Martinez, all of Tucumcari. Mr. Martinez is survived by his mother, Florida Antonia Segura of Moreno Valley, Calif.; a sister, Carmen Horton of Moreno Valley; a half-brother, Lorenzo Martinez of Belen; one aunt; one uncle, six nephews; three nieces and numerous extended family members and friends. As per family wishes, he was cremated. Arrangements are by Sunrise Funeral Options of Albuquerque.
