Robert N.H. Dyke

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2400 South 9th St., Tucumcari. Robert N.H. Dyke, 53, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006. Mr. Dyke was born Sept. 1, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Norman and Barbara Dyke. He graduated from the South High School in Salt Lake City. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the northwestern states mission in Oregon. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He and Donna Jane Grimm were married on Dec. 29, 1984 in South Lake Tahoe. Mr. Dyke, who was a member of the Northern California Carpenters Union, was employed as a project superintendent for Retail Construction Services, Inc. He and his wife owned and operated the Empty Saddle RV Park on East Route 66 in Tucumcari. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara M. Dyke, his daughter, Cynthia A. Bray, and his sister, Lynwood M. Johnson. Surviving Mr. Dyke are his wife; a son, Adam J. (Kathryn) Dyke, and a niece Sandi R. (Matthew) Apodaca, all of Tucumcari. Also surviving are a son, William R. (Valerie) Bray of Reno, Nev.; his father, Norman W. Dyke, his aunt, Marjorie E. Dyke; a sister, Amanda J. (Perry) Hardin and a brother, John W. Dyke, all of Utah and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Following his wishes, Mr. Dyke was cremated. Condolences may be sent to the family c/o Empty Saddle RV Park, 2500 East Route 66, Tucumcari, NM 88401. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
