11-11-2006: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department, during the last few days. According to reports:
Monday
• At 3:18 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at an apartment on South Seventh Street. Officers made contact with the residents of the apartment. One male subject was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Tuesday
• At 9:03 a.m., a male reported vandalism on South Sixth Street. Officers advised that someone had sprayed a fire extinguisher into the open window of a vehicle.
• At 2:08 p.m., a routine traffic stop lead to the arrest of one female for multiple outstanding Municipal Court warrants. The warrants were for three charges of failure to appear and one failure to pay fines.
• At 10:32 p.m., an officer reported vandalism at a retail shop on West Main Street. The officer advised that windows on the building had been shot out.
Wednesday
• At 1:36 a.m., a routine traffic stop on I-40 lead to the arrest of one male subject. The male was arrested for driving with a revoked license and false evidence of title or registration.
• At 9:03 a.m., a probation officer requested a prisoner transport at the probation officer on East Main. An officer transported one male to the Quay County Detention Center for violation of conditions of release.
• At 10:33 a.m., a 911 hang-up call came from a residence on East Washington. Officers made contact with the owners of the residence and advised all was OK.
• At 4:13 p.m., a female reported an unwanted male subject at a grocery store on West Tucumcari Boulevard. Officers made contact with the male subject and advised him to leave and not come back. Shortly after, a second report was called in about the same male subject returning to the same location. Officers returned and the male was arrested for trespassing.
Thursday
• At 12:51 p.m., a female reported that someone had shot out a window at her residence on South First Street. An investigation is underway.
• At 7:36 p.m., a female reported suspicious subjects in front of an apartment complex on South Seventh Street. Officers made contact with the subjects and advised them to move on. Shortly after, a second call was made about the same subjects, who had returned to the apartments. Officers returned and advised that the subjects had left prior to their arrival.
• At 7:39 p.m., a female reported vandalism on South Third. An officer was told that someone had shot out a window on her vehicle. A report was filed.
• At 10:45 p.m., an officer reported an open door at the high school on South Seventh Street. The building was checked all was OK and the door was secured.
Friday
• At 8:40 a.m., a male reported that someone had shot out a window on his vehicle on South Second Street during the night. An investigation is underway.
