The following is a sample of calls received by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department, during the last few days. According to reports: Friday l At 7:07 p.m., an alarm was reported at a residence on East Hines. An officer checked the building and all was OK. l At 8:58 p.m., a male reported vandalism at the library on South Second Street. An officer advised that the glass door on the north west side of the building had been broken. An investigation is under way. Saturday l At 2:20 a.m., a female reported a dispute at her residence on South Sixth Street. Officers were told that a male subject had been arguing with the female subject, punched a hole in the wall and left. The officers located the male subject walking down Sixth Street, and he was arrested for minor in possession and an active Magistrate Court warrant. l At 6:05 a.m., a male reported an assault at his residence on South Tenth Street. The male subject told an officer that a carrier for an out-of-town newspaper had swung a piece of wood at him after an argument. The officer collected the evidence and an investigation is under way. Sunday l At 2:04 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on East Tucumcari Boulevard after it was observed that a female was driving erratically. One female subject was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated and cited for speeding and no insurance. l At 2:30 a.m., an officer on a routine traffic stop on East High Street cited a male subject for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. l At 2:45 a.m., a female reported vandalism at her apartment on South First Street. The female subject told an officer that a male subject would not leave when she asked and had broken a window out of her apartment. A report was filed l At 11:35 a male reported the burglary of a vehicle at a church on South Ninth Street. The male subject told an officer that someone had taken a set of keys and a camera from his vehicle. An investigation is under way. l At 9:56 p.m., an alarm was reported at a retail store on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer checked the building and advised that there were pry marks on the door of the building but no entry had been made. Monday l At 4:39 a.m., a female reported a possible prowler outside of her residence on South Rock Island. An officer was told that it sounded like someone was walking around her house. The officer checked the area and all was OK. l At 8:19 a.m., a female reported counterfeit money at a fuel station on South First. An officer recovered two $100 bills that had been passed at the station. An investigation is under way. l At 9:05 a.m., a male reported a burglary of a residence on County Road 64. A deputy was told that some hand tools had been taken from the home. A report was filed. l At 7:37 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on south Third Street. Officers advised that it was only a verbal argument and that one of the parties involved had left prior to their arrival. l At 10:35 p.m., a female reported vandalism at her residence on East Hancock. An officer advised that a window on the home had been broken out. An investigation is under way. Tuesday l At 5:08 a.m., an alarm was reported at a fuel station on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer checked the building and all was OK. The owner of the building told the officer nothing had been taken and reset the alarm.
