Adeline V. Eggert

Services: 2 p.m., on Tuesday at the Dunn Memorial Chapel in Tucumcari. Adeline V. Eggert died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, in Phoenix, Ariz., following an extended illness. She was born July 2, 1908 in San Pablo, Colo. In the early 1930s she married Fred Eggert, Jr. They started their family and later moved in 1947 to Tucumcari, where they bought and started a family farm and business that continued until Fred Eggert's death in 1983. In 1990 she moved to Phoenix, where she resided until her death. Mrs. Eggert was also a longtime Jehovahs Witness. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Eggert, Jr. of 50 years, her son Samuel Eggert, a grandson Terry Shue and a granddaughter Bianca Esquibel. She is survived by: five sons, Walter (Ilse) of Fremont, Calif.; Dan of Tucumcari ; Tony (Eulan) of San Leandro, Calif.; David (Laverne) of El Paso, Texas; Derrell (Sandy) of San Jon, N.M.; and three daughters: Grace (Pete) Esquibel of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Ginger (Phil) Green of Phoenix and Sophia (Jim) Smith of Toleson, Ariz. Mrs. Eggert is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Oliver Thomas will officiate at the service. Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
