Services: 2 p.m. on Wednesday at House High School Gym. Kay Noland, 62, of McAlister, N.M. died Friday, Feb. 2, 2007 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. She was born Jan.13, 1945 in McKinney, Texas to Howard and Faye Mitchell Allen. Mrs. Noland graduated from R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas in 1962. She married Bill Noland Nov. 30, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Eastern New Mexico University in 1983. Mrs. Noland is survived by her husband of 43 years, Bill of House; one daughter, Amy Fury (Dennis) of Grady, N.M.; one sister, Sheri McShan (Bruce) of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Emily, Quade and Kayleigh and one niece, Jodi McShan. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was raised in Hereford, Texas, and lived in the McAlister area for 43 years and was a member of the House United Methodist Church. Mrs. Noland will best be remembered by her witty sense of humor and love for life, according to her family. She touched many lives and related well to her students during her 19 years devoted to teaching at Tucumcari High School. In 1999 she was recognized as Teacher of the Year for her hard work and dedication. Yet, it was the family that was the highlight and purpose of Kay's life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and the love and affection she gave will be missed always, family members said. Danny Sanders assisted by Sherman Martin will officiate at the service. Burial will be at Browning Cemetery near McAlister. Honorary pall bearers are Carl Parmer, Clyde Moon, Lawrence Widner, Billy Parmer, Donnie Webb, Randy Lesly, Lance Purcell and Scott Hodges.
