Quay County Tourism Council to meet  The Quay County Tourism Council will meet on Tuesday, for their regular monthly meeting, which will include the election of officers.  The meeting will be at the Tucumcari Convention Center at 2:30 p.m.  The meetings are open to anyone who is interested in tourism. For more information contact Brenda Bishop at the Extension Office, 461-0562.   ISC to meet in Logan The New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission (ISC) will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday at the Logan Civic Center, 901 Martinez Street, Logan. The meeting will begin with a tour of the Ute Lake Reservoir from 8 a.m. to noon. The meeting will begin at 1 p.m. According to the draft agenda, the commissioners will be considering the following: l Request approval for purchase of ISC fee lands and easements by Dos Rios Land, LLC at Ute Reservoir l An update on hydrologic analysis for Ute Reservoir l Request for acceptance of the Northeast New Mexico Regional Water Plan (Region 1) l Request for renewal and modification of the Ute Reservoir Joint Powers Agreement. l Presentation by Village of Logan regarding request for donation of ISC owned land l Presentation, public comments and possible action on components of the Ute Shoreline Management Plan Recess. Quay County rabies clinics Rabies vaccinations will be available in four locations in Quay County: Today from 2:30 p.m to 3:30 p.m. (CDT ) at the Nara Visa Fire Station Today from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the San Jon Fire Station where city licenses will also be available Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., there will be a clinic at the Logan City Warehouse, north of the bank. City licenses also will be available. April 28 from 9 a.m. to Noon and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the City Warehouse, 302 W. Center . City licenses also will be available. Rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats are $6 each. Other vaccinations will be available at additional cost. Please have your dog on a leash and your cat in a carrier. Roundhouse Review: Recap of legislative action Elected officials will provide a recap of the 2007 Legislative Session at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Check in begins at 11:15 a.m. All attendees must be pre-registered. The event will be at the Holiday Inn, 3716 E. Route 66. Cost is $12 per person. Register with the Tucumcari-Quay County Chamber. Open review of South Rec plans at Conchas There will be a meeting to discuss the re-development of the South Recreation area by the U.S. Corps of Engineers. The town hall meeting will be from 10 a.m. to noon on April 14 at the Conchas Dam Fire Station. For more information call the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers office at 868-2221. Keep Moving for diabetes The Quay County Extension Office has teamed up with Joslin Diabetes Research Center to offer Keep Moving. It focuses on using exercise to manage diabetes. Participants will learn safe exercises and develop their own exercise plan.   The program calls for a three- month commitment. There is no charge for participating in the program and participants will be able to keep the equipment they are provided.  The first workshop will be April 17. Two sessions will be held, one at 2:30 p.m. and the other at 5:30 p.m. in the Quay County Extension Office, in the basement of the Quay County Courthouse. Call 461-0562 for more information.
