On Monday the governing bodies of Tucumcari, Logan, San Jon, House, and Quay County will meet to discuss a Joint Powers Agreement to create the Quay County Gaming Authority. This will include a presentation by Warren Frost, the program coordinator, and Michael Newman, the financial advisor, concerning possible avenues of financing the construction and operation of the racetrack/casino, a.k.a. “Racino.” The public is encouraged to attend.  There will be an opportunity for questions and comments. The meeting is 6 p.m. Monday at the Tucumcari Convention Center.
