Tucumcari police on Tuesday were called to investigate two unrelated unattended deaths. In the first, a man was found deceased at a room at a motel on Tucumcari Boulevard, according to a police report. Lynwood Francis, 54, was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. Francis’ sister in Maryland was contacted, the report said. In the second, a local woman, Kim Harrell, 33, was found dead at a residence on Barnes Street, a police report said. Police Chief Larry Ham said Harrell's death is expected to be from natural causes. Ham also said autopsies are being conducted in both cases by the state's Office of Medical Investigation in Albuquerque.
