The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:
Tuesday
l At 9:11 a.m., an officer served a warrant at a residence on South Rock Island Street. One female juvenile was arrested for probation violation and transported to the Curry County Detention Center.
At 5:49 p.m., a male reported a wreck on West Route 66. An officer was told that a vehicle struck a guardrail and drove off. The officer located, stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
At 7:56 p.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at her residence on East Laughlin Street. An officer was told that a male subject was refusing to leave the residence when asked. The officer advised the male subject to leave and not return.
Wednesday
l At 1:46 a.m., an alarm was reported at the convention center on West Route 66. An officer advised that all was OK.
l At 1:53 a.m., an alarm was reported at the elementary school on South Ninth Street. An officer advised that the building was secure and all was OK.
l At 10:40 a.m., a probation officer requested a transport at the probation office on East Main Street. Two subjects were taken to the Quay County Detention Center for violation of probation.
l At 9:48 p.m., a male reported a domestic dispute at a residence on South Fifth Street. An officer advised that there was no one at the residence when police arrived.
Thursday
l At 10:16 p.m., a male reported a theft at a motel on East Route 66. An officer was told that items were taken from a room. An investigation is under way.
l At 11:39 a.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at her residence on North First Street. An officer was told that a female subject was refusing to leave when asked. The officer advised the female to leave and not return for the night.
l At 12:56 p.m., a theft was reported at an apartment on South Seventh Street. An officer was told that a male subject had borrowed a vehicle without the owner's permission. The owner did not want to press charges, but wanted the vehicle back. The male subject returned the vehicle and was arrested on two outstanding warrants.
