The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports: Thursday l At 4:10 p.m., a female reported an alarm had been pulled at a school on South Fourth Street. An officer advised the alarm had been pulled. It was videotaped and no action was taken, the report said. Friday l At 12:51 a.m., a grass fire on the road that goes toward Five-Mile Park along the railroad tracks was contained. l At 8:34 p.m., a female reported an accident with a deer. A Quay County Sheriff's officer said she hit a deer while driving north on State Road 469 at the 22 mile marker. There was damage to the right front fender and hood. The officer advised he was filling out a report. l At 9:31 p.m., a female reported an animal complaint. The officer said a cat broke into the female subject's home through a hole and killed her house cat. The violent cat was startled when she returned home and ran off. The female subject requested the dead cat be removed. l At 10:19 p.m., a man reported broken windows. The officer advised that sometime between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. someone had broken the windows at the community college. l At 11:50 p.m., an officer arrested a male subject for DWI and careless driving at Third Street and Laughlin. Saturday l At 4:01 a.m., a male reported a stabbing. The male said he was walking between a real estate office and Aragon when an unknown Hispanic male jumped him, according to the report. The officer advised the male subject was stabbed twice in the stomach area. The subject was transported to the emergency room by medics, the report said. l At 8:05 a.m., a male reported vandalism. The back window of a truck on East Smith was broken sometime between 10 p.m. and the reported vandalism, the report said. The officer said the window was shot out. l At 12:27 p.m., a female reported a possible theft. The officer advised the trunk of the car and the hood of the truck were opened. The female said she could not tell if anything was missing and would call if anything is missing. Sunday l At 7:47 p.m., a female reported a fire east of Rosebud on Highway 39. Rosebud fire units responded and advised at 8:36 p.m. that the fire was controlled and that they were mopping up. l At 8:50 p.m., an officer cited a male subject for drag racing in the city of Tucumcari. Monday l At 12:28 a.m., a female reported a group of loud bikers out in front of a motel on South First Street. She requested that police patrol the area. The officer advised that they were a group of Austrian bikers who were going to go to their rooms and quiet down for the night. l At 12:36 p.m., a female requested an officer because of a dispute with a neighbor. The officer advised the woman had given tax papers to the neighbor to fie. But the neighbor would not return them because the husband wasn't there. The papers were returned.
