The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:
Friday
• At 12:28 p.m., a female reported a drunk driver on South Ninth Street. An officer made contact with the vehicle and one female was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
• At 7:07 p.m., a female reported harassment at a restaurant on West Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer was told that a female subject was driving through the parking lot yelling at the employees. The officer advised that they made contact with the female subject and advised her to stay off the property.
• At 10:58 p.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject who had been stopped on South Third Street. The dispatcher told the officer that the male subject had an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant. The male subject was arrested and transported to the Quay County Detention Center.
• At 11:25 p.m., an officer stopped a juvenile on South Fourth Street who had an outstanding warrant. One male juvenile was transported to the Curry County Detention Center for two charges of battery.
• At 11:50 p.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject walking down Fourth Street. The officer was told that the subject had an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant for larceny. The officer arrested the male subject and transported him to the Quay County Detention Center.
Saturday
• At 12:13 p.m., a female reported a shoplifter at a retail store on West Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer was told that a male subject had tried to steal an alcoholic beverage. The officer advised the male subject was issued a no trespassing order and was told to leave the store.
• At 2:31 p.m., a female reported vandalism on South First Street. An officer advised that someone had written on the window of a vehicle with magic marker.
• At 4:38 p.m., a female reported a burglary at her residence on East Rankin Street. An officer was told that someone had stolen some tools and coins from the residence.
• At 9:22 p.m., a female reported a suspicious vehicle parked at a shipping business on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer was told that a truck had been parked by the building for the past two days. The officer made contact with the owner of the vehicle and advised that the vehicle will be moved the next day.
Sunday
• At 5:53 a.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on East Turner Street. An officer advised that everything was OK that the parties were going to separate for the night.
• At 6:47 p.m., a male reported unwanted subjects at a bank on South Second Street. An officer was told that two subjects were camping under the drive-up lanes. The officer made contact with the subjects and advised them to move on.
• At 7:46 p.m., an alarm was reported at a construction company on East Aber Street. An officer advised that all was OK the building was secure.
• At 8:59 p.m., a female reported vandalism at a parking lot on East Center Street. An officer advised that while the female was in the movie theater someone had thrown a brick against the vehicle.
• At 9:35 p.m., a female reported a “beer run” at a convenience station on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer was told that two juvenile males had entered the store and stolen beer.
Monday
• At 5:30 a.m., a male reported a irate customer at a restaurant on East Route 66. An officer advised that the subject had left prior to their arrival.
