The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports: Thursday l At 11:21 p.m., a female reported possible gunshots on East Hines Street. An officer checked the area and advised that it was fireworks that had been set off. Friday l At 10:30 a.m., a female reported a theft at a residence on south Grove. An officer was told that a child's bike had been stolen. l At 11:48 a.m., a male reported a burglary on Apple Street. An officer was told that a chain was cut holding a gate shut. The officer advised that no entry was made to the house on the property. l At 2:16 p.m., a male reported a domestic dispute on South Second Street. One male juvenile was arrested for battery on a household member, minor in possession of alcohol and allowing one-self's to be served. The juvenile was released to his parents. l At 2:24 p.m., a female reported a burglary on South Ninth Street. An officer was told that the owners of the residence were out of town and it was unknown if anything was missing. The officer advised that they will contact the owners and have them report anything missing from the residence when they return. l At 5:31 p.m., an officer served a warrant on a female subject on South Monroe. One female subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for an outstanding felony warrant out of Grants. l At 11:05 p.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject walking down South First Street. The officer was told by the dispatcher that there was an active warrant. The officer located the male subject and arrested him for an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant. Saturday l At 12:39 a.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject walking on South Fourth Street. The male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for warrants of aggravated battery, aggravated assault and criminal damage to property. l At 1:38 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on South Rock Island Street. One female subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for driving under the influence. l At 6:41 p.m., a female reported a suspicious subject at a fuel station on South Mountain Road. The female told the officer that a male subject was walking around the store with a gun in his back pocket. The officer checked the store and advised the subject had left prior to their arrival. Sunday l At 12:30 a.m., a female reported a disturbance on Morningside Street. A female told officers that her grandson had taken her vehicle without her permission and was driving around with no headlights yelling at people. An officer made contact with the vehicle and advised the driver to return the vehicle home. One of the passengers was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Roswell. l 9:51 p.m., an officer requested a warrant check on a male subject walking down South Rock Island Street. The male subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant. Monday l At 5:04 p.m., a male reported a prowler at a church on south Second Street. An officer was told that a male subject was trying to enter the church after the church was closed. The officers made contact with the male subject and advised him to move on. Tuesday l At 7:19 a.m., a male reported a theft at a motel on South First Street. An officer was told that seven bottles of liquor and a computer had been taken from a vehicle parked at the hotel.
