The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports: Tuesday l At 5:46 p.m., an anonymous caller reported a domestic dispute on East Turner. A male subject was arrested for battery of a household member. A female subject was also arrested for battery of a household member and resisting an officer. Both subjects were taken to the Quay County Detention Center. Wednesday l At 6:43 p.m., a male reported an erratic driver who had stopped at a fuel station on South First Street. The male subject told officers that the driver could barely see over the wheel. The officers advised the driver was a juvenile female who admitted to being a runaway and taking the vehicle without the owner's permission. The vehicle was reported stolen from Gray County, Texas, and the subject was arrested. The Quay County Detention Center made arrangements for the juvenile to picked up in Amarillo, Texas, by the Gray County Sheriff's Office. l At 9:55 a.m., a female reported vandalism on East Turner Street. An officer advised that the window and screen on a shed had been broken out. l At 10 a.m., a female reported vandalism at a park on East Tucumcari Boulevard. The female told officers that the sign in front of the park had graffiti on it. l At 12:39 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop at the corner of South Fourth Street and West Tucumcari Boulevard. The female driver of the vehicle was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for driving with a suspended or revoked license. l At 7:59 p.m., an accident was reported at a fuel station on South Mountain Road. An officer advised that the male driver was intoxicated. The male subject was transported to the emergency room for a medical clearance. The subject was then released and transported to the Quay County Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence and having an open container of alcohol. Thursday l At 12:39 p.m., a female reported vandalism at the elementary school on South Ninth Street. An officer was told that the playground equipment had been spray painted with graffiti. l At 2:36 p.m., a female reported a stolen check at a bank on East Tucumcari Boulevard. An officer was told that a female subject was trying to cash a check that did not belong to her and was not written out to her. The female subject was arrested for forgery. l At 5:58 p.m., an alarm was reported at a fuel station on South First Street. An officer made contact with the clerk and advised that all was OK. • At 8:47 p.m., a female reported a domestic dispute at a residence on East High Street. An officer advised that the problem had been resolved and the parties had been separated. • At 10:10 p.m., a male came to the police department to report a missing cell phone. An officer was told the description of the phone and when the owner last had possession of it. Friday • At 8:30 a.m., a female reported a burglary at a motel on South Adams Street. An officer was told that while staying at the motel someone had broken into a truck. The driver of the truck will send a list of items missing. l At 4:50 a.m., a male reported a suspicious vehicle on South Rock Island Street. An officer was told that the driver was sitting in a vehicle parked in front of the caller's residence for more than an hour. The officer made contact with the driver and advised that all was OK. The driver owns the property they were parked in front of and was about to leave.
