11-28-2007: Fishing Report

This fishing report has been generated from the best information available from officers and anglers. Conditions encountered after the report is compiled may differ, however, as stream, lake and weather conditions alter fish and angler activities. Conchas Fishing was fair using slab spoons at 29-to-35 feet for walleye. We had no reports on other species. Ute Lake Slab spoons and blade baits continued to be productive this past week for anglers fishing for walleye and white bass. Anglers reported good success working the edge of the main channel at depths of 35-to-45 feet. We had no reports on other species. Catches of the week On Nov. 25, Jeff Cooper from the Amarillo area caught a 6.2-pound walleye at Ute Lake. He was using a blade bait at the time.
