02-02-2008: Police Blotter

The following is a sample of calls received during the last few days by the central dispatch office for Quay County, based at the Tucumcari Police Department. According to reports:
Tuesday
l At 3:25 a.m., an alarm was reported at a retail store on West Route 66. An officer advised that the building was secure and that the manager had reset the alarm.
l At 4 a.m., an alarm was reported at a retail store on East Route 66. An officer advised that all was OK that the wind had set off the alarm.
l At 12:45 p.m., a female reported fraud at a fuel station on South Mountain Road. An officer was told that a male subject had found a truck driver's rewards card and used it to buy two mp3 players.
l At 7:29 p.m., a female reported a theft at the high school gym on South Seventh Street. An officer was told that while track practice was going on someone stole a cell phone from a locker room.
Wednesday
l At 10: 39 p.m., a female reported vandalism at a residence on South Third Street. An officer advised that three windows on the residence had been broken.
l At 10:47 p.m., a female reported an unwanted subject at a lounge on West Route 66. One male subject was advised by the officer to leave and not to return for the night.
Thursday
l At 1:18 a.m., an alarm was reported at a restaurant on East Route 66. An officer advised that all was OK and that the building was secure.
l At 1:30 a.m., a male reported loud music from an apartment on South Eighth Street. An officer made contact with the resident and advised them to turn the music down.
l At 9:20 a.m., a female reported a wanted subject at the motor vehicle department on South Third Street. One female subject was arrested and taken to the Quay County Detention Center for larceny.
